Day8 : Kakhetian Wine Serenades

This morning we visit Duke Alexander Chavchavadze’s estate which used to be the hub of different  European and Russian poets, writers and public figures in the 19th century.

Later, we continue to take part in Georgian’s one of the most favourite culinary rituals-Churchkhela-making (Churchkhela is a traditional candle-shaped candy made from grape must, walnuts and flour) and bread-baking in a deep,circular clay oven)

In the afternoon we head to a 16th century winery and attend a lecture about the history of vines in Georgia and taste different red and white wines in their wine-museum. We take you for a lunch in a local winery to taste  some typical East Georgian delicacies in their relaxing  park-restaurant.

We arrive in Tbilisi in the evening and check in our hotel.

Farewell dinner will be held in Georgian restaurant with traditional dances and polyphonic concert.
